MUNTARI RETURNS TO SERIE A

Sulley Muntari is set to return to the Serie A with his deal with Pescara completed. The former AC Milan midfielder left the club in the summer of 2015 to move to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Ittihad. Muntari, who has also featured for Inter Milan and Udinese, returned to help Pescara with the departure of Alberto Aquilani.

The Delfini would play the former Ghana international in the midfield. The player is reportedly to have flown into the city already and training with his potential teammates.
The 32-year old agreed a deal with the Serie A outfit but he would be available to Massimo Oddo for selection once the deal from Al Ittihad is formalized.

The Serie A has been dynamic this term and Pescara would hope Muntari can fit in swiftly.
On the other hand, Sassuolo has swooped in to sign Aquilani. After his release from Pescara, Sassuolo decided to acquire the former AS Roma, Liverpool and Fiorentina player.

His stay with the Serie A side was short as he only managed nine appearances during his time. He moved there on free transfer at the start of the season but could not impress them enough.

Aquilani played in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon in the 2015/16 season but would now play in Italy. Sassuolo announced the deal for the 32-year old officially on their website.
Aquilani started his career at the AS Roma youth team before he moved to the senior side.

He went on loan to Triestina but returned to Roma before he moved to England. His stint at Anfield was terrible which forced him to go on a loan spree until the move to Fiorentina.
Aquilani would be hoping to revive his career at Sassuolo before it gradually winds down.
