SEMI-FINAL WIN

Fiorentina overcame Udinese in the semifinals of the Coppa Italia and now they have to face off against Napoli for the final match of the Italian tournament. Napoli is favorites on winning the competition as they have been a fairly more consistent team than the one guided by Vincenzo Montella.

Napoli have proven themselves to be serious contenders for the Italian league title not only in the current campaign but for the recent few ones as they persistently finish the season on the top few spots.

Montella’s men have received a boost in their squad as the Brazilian defender of Manchester United Anderson admitted his desire to remain with the Italian club. Anderson joined Fiorentina from Manchester United on a loan deal which will last until the end of the current season but he wants to stay on a permanent basis.

"To be honest I've not had the chance. He gave me one chance or a half but not a lot,"

"He is the manager and I have to respect him. He treated me well and he has a lot of players. I have to play and have my chance. It is better for me at Fiorentina. The manager wants me and has shown his trust; I can show him my football. Even though the contract is only on loan, I want to stay for a long time,"

"At United the fans love me and I like the club so much. Sometimes football changes and you have to change. It will improve me as well. There is a big opportunity to go to the Champions League; I've been very impressed here." Anderson said.

Anderson’s time at Manchester United has been limited since the arrival of David Moyes to the club as the Scottish coach barely gives playing time for Anderson to prove his worth.
