Vincenzo Montella doubtful to continue with Fiorentina

The Italian midfielder Alberto Aquilani is a regular starter for Vincenzo Montella at Fiorentina as the player has started in all of the matches of this season in the Italian League.

Despite being a consistent player for Fiorentina, it’s unclear as if Aquilani wants to continue playing at the club and this is due to the fact that when his transfer from Liverpool to Fiorentina was completed, Aquilani stated that the only reason on why he failed on making a permanent move to Ac.Milan or Juventus was because of the excessive price that Liverpool had placed on him.

As a player of Liverpool, Aquilani had joined Ac.Milan and Juventus on loan deals but his time with those clubs was successful as he made a number of impressive performances but Aquilani could never join them on a permanent deal as Liverpool decided to accept an offer of Fiorentina which was in the region of €790,000.

The contract of Alberto Aquilani with Fiorentina expires in June of 2015 and there were rumors that Aquilani was in the process of extending his contract with the Italian club but according to the experienced midfielder, no extensions or meetings have been made concerning his current contract.

“Things are pretty steady. There is no major news. Honestly at the moment I am not thinking about it much. The intention is to stay and the President knows that. There is dialogue between people who know what they want. We will have to wait’’

“Ending my career with Fiorentina? I am considering it, but in football you cannot say these things because everything can change overnight. I’m a realist. I am happy here, I’m happy with the fans, my teammates and the Coach. This city has entered my heart.”Fiorentina’s Alberto Aquilani told the media as he revealed his current situation with the Italian club and also answered questions concerning if he has any desire of leaving Fiorentina and joining another club.
